  • 1 cup brown sugar (Packed firmly.)
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon (Use high-quality for the best flavor.)
  • 1/3 cup butter (Softened to spread easily.)
  • Cream Cheese Icing Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons butter (At room temperature for easy mixing.)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (Also known as confectioners' sugar.)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (Softened; ensures a smooth icing.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (Pure vanilla extract for best flavor.)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (Balances the sweetness.)
Instructions
    Preparing the Dough
  1. Activate the Yeast

    In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast over the top and stirring it  . Let it sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.

    Make sure the milk is just warm to the touch, not hot, to avoid killing the yeast.
  2. Mix the Dough

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and salt. add half the flour first, mix, then gradually add the rest. This prevents overmixing and makes the dough easier to work with. Mixing until a soft dough forms.

    You may need to adjust the flour amount slightly depending on humidity and other factors. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
  3. Knead the DoughTurn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
